Gardens which have long been in existence obviously have specific characteristics determined by their environments. These characteristics include climate and local flora as well as religious beliefs and social and cultural conditions distinct to each country. The world’s famous gardens, be they Chinese, Japanese, Indian (during the Mogul Dynasty), Spanish and French gardens, all have interesting features by which they are known. As for the “Thai Garden,” despite the fact that it does not enjoy the same degree of fame accorded to the gardens aforementioned, it tandem with Thai architecture. With its own amazing characteristics, the Thai-style garden is therefore a subject worthy of study and research.
