Dr. Amara left us on August 7th, 2023, surrounded by her family and students, leaving behind a legacy that has profoundly shaped both academia and the hearts of those she touched.

Dr. Amara’s association with MANUSYA: Journal of Humanities holds a special place in our collective journey. Serving as the Editor-in-Chief from 1996 to 2020, she played an instrumental role in the journal’s growth. Under her guidance, MANUSYA underwent a transformative phase, expanding its horizons from a domestic publication to an internationally recognized platform for scholarly exchange.

With unwavering commitment and meticulous attention, Dr. Amara very carefully reviewed each submitted article, investing herself in the development of novice researchers. She firmly believed that by nurturing emerging talents, she was not only refining scholarly contributions but also cultivating a culture of excellence in humanities research, both within Thailand and beyond.
